The provincial capital of East Nusa Tenggara in western Timor is Kupang, while the
eastern side is now already an independent country Timor Leste. The visits will be
seeing the culture and the beautiful nature which is rich in colonial heritage, traces of
which can still be seen in the architecture, street and market scenes and dress of the
local people.
Day 1: Arrival Kupang (Meals: Dinner) Upon arrival at Eltari Airport of Kupang we will provide meeting service and then transfer to the harbor. The remaining day is free at own leisure to explore the city of Kupang.
Day 2: Kupang to Soe (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) In the morning enjoy Kupang city tour for visiting Kupang Museum, with its collection of fossils, anthropological artifacts, “Ikat” weavings textile, and other items which reflect east Nusa Tenggara’s different ethnic groups. Next, proceed to the market to see local people buying and selling their daily needs, then onto Lesiana beach to see the traditional process of making sugar palm. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. Then drive to Soe, a distance of 110 km for 3 hours through panoramas of rice fields, farms, jungles and savanna. Stops will be made at Oebelo, a Rottenness village famous for its unique music instrument called “Sasando”, made from “lontar” palm leaves.
Day 3: Soe to Kupang via Boti (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) In the morning will be visiting Boti a traditional village in Timor to see their traditional houses, ikat weaving and to be with the King of Boti and his people to learn their tradition and custom. Return to Soe for refreshment then drive back to Kupang.
Day 4: Kupang Departure (Meals: Breakfast) Morning will be free at own leisure, until due time for departure we will provide transfer to the airport for flight departure to other onward destination.
