The Island is famous for its Komodo Dragons, called “ora” by the local people, Komodo
is a small island of two hundred and eighty square kilometers, located between
Sumbawa and Flores. Komodo Island is now a nature reserve, home to a number of rare
bird species, deer, and wild pigs. This trip is made for embarkation and disembarkation
Day 1: Arrival Bima to Komodo Island (Meals: Dinner) Upon arrival at Salahuddin Airport of Bima we will provide meeting service and then transfer to the harbor at Sape. Then take a boat to Gilibanta. Dinner and overnight will be provided on board local boat.
Day 2: Gili Banta to Rinca via Komodo (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) In the morning the trip continues to home to the dragons on Komodo island. The safari starts by half an hour walk (2km) to Banunggulung. The KOMODO DRAGONS which are scientifically described in 1912 as VARANUS KOMODOENSIS can grow up to 3 meters long. It is estimated that there are 2000 lizards on Komodo Island. The island is also a good place for bird life with cockatoos and gosong birds (Megapodius Reinwardti) among others also visit Komodo fishing village. This is the highlight of this adventure.
Day 3: Rinca to Bima via Sape (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) In the morning the activity will be a nice walk around Rinca Island. Rinca is also home to the wild Komodo dragons, deer, buffalos, wild horsed and pigs. Komodo and its surrounding islands are also a marine reserve with fine mangroves and coral reefs, colorful fishes. Dolphins, whales and sea turtles are often seen in the straits.
Day 4: Bima Departure (Meals: Breakfast)
Morning will be free at own leisure, until due time for departure we will provide transfer to the airport for flight departure to other onward destination.
